Day 1

Marrakech - High Atlas - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddhou - Dades Valley

Early in the morning, our driver will meet you at the hotel in Marrakech where you are staying, and we will depart for Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2260 meters), from where you can admire the spectacular landscapes of these mountains. We will visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a sandcastle perched on a hill and surrounded by the greenery of almond trees; a location that gives it the appearance of a nativity scene. The kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the only one that still shows the intact architecture of southern Morocco. The journey continues towards the Dadès Valley, where we will arrive in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2

Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - Erg-Chebbi

After breakfast, we will pass through the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorges, a magnificent canyon with towering walls reaching up to 250 meters, set in a wild landscape populated by Berber villages.

We will visit the palm grove of Tinghir. Then, we will continue to Merzouga, where the camels will be waiting for us, and we will depart on a ride, reaching a Berber-style tented camp. We will discover the pure beauty of the landscape, sitting by the campfire during an unforgettable evening under a starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay in the tented camp.

Day 3

Merzouga

After breakfast and a visit to the Merzouga oases, we will head to Khamlia, the village of the people of color originally from Sudan who were brought as slaves from the north. You can enjoy mint tea with them and listen to their traditional Gnawa music. The next stop will be in Mifis, a small town near the dunes, where coal and copper mines are located, and where most of the inhabitants of Merzouga used to live. Afterwards, following another stop in the village of Merdane, we will visit Berber families and then return to Merzouga. You will have the opportunity to climb the dunes and enjoy tea while taking in the peace and silence of the spectacular sunset. Accommodation at the hotel.
